Duradek is tested and approved for chemical resistance under ICC-ES AC39, so pool and spa chemistry does not degrade it. The surface is heavily textured for grip in exactly the conditions where people slip, and it is far more forgiving on bare feet than broom-finished concrete or aggregate.
It also cleans easily. Sunscreen, spilled drinks and leaf stain wipe off rather than soaking in, which is most of what pool deck maintenance actually consists of.
Durarail railing and self-closing gate assemblies are available where a pool enclosure is required by code.

Duradek is one sheet doing two jobs. It is the waterproofing and it is the floor you walk on, which means there is no seam between the two for water to find.
Where it matters most is the point the drawing shows on the left: the membrane turns up the wall and sits behind the cladding, so the drainage plane runs unbroken from the deck into the building envelope. That detail is invisible when we are finished. It is also the reason the deck is still dry long after a caulked joint would have let go.
