What we do with what you send us
The quote form
When you send the quote form, we receive your name, email address, phone number, the city the property is in, and whatever you tell us about the project. We use it to prepare your estimate and to contact you about it. That is the only reason we ask for it.
The submission is stored on this website's server and emailed to admin@rhinodecks.ca. We also record the date and time, a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string. The hash lets us rate-limit abuse without keeping a list of visitors' addresses.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your details. We do not use them for marketing you did not ask for. The pages are served entirely from here — the fonts and images are ours, and there are no advertising cookies or analytics trackers on the site itself.
The chat window
There is one exception to that, and it is worth being specific about. The chat button on the right-hand edge of every page is provided by LeadConnector, part of HighLevel, and it runs from their servers rather than ours. Loading any page therefore also contacts leadconnectorhq.com, msgsndr.com and fonts.bunny.net, and sending a message additionally loads Cloudflare’s bot check.
It keeps a few things in your browser’s local storage: a session identifier so a conversation survives a page reload, whether you have dismissed the greeting, and how you arrived at the site — the referring page, any search keyword, and any campaign parameters on the link you followed. That last part is marketing attribution and it happens whether or not you open the chat. Anything you type into the chat goes to HighLevel and is covered by their privacy terms as well as ours.
Clearing site data for this domain removes all of it. If you would rather not be measured that way, use the phone number or the estimate form instead — both reach the same people.
Cookies and local storage
One cookie is set, and only when you open the quote form: a session cookie that carries the security token protecting the form against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser. The chat window sets no cookies, but does use local storage as described above.
Asking us to delete it
Email admin@rhinodecks.ca or call (604) 359-8824 and ask, and we will remove your enquiry from our records.
